In honor of Engineers' Week, the Rockland Chapter of NYSSPE and the Lower Hudson Valley Branch of ASCE have rescheduled the 2 PDH lecture to March 25th which will include the following:

Orange and Rockland Utilities Gas Distribution Overview

The Rockland Chapter of NYSSPE will be hosting a 1 PDH lecture by Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. entitled Gas Distribution Overview.

Michael Turanchik, Section Manager of Gas Engineering for Orange & Rockland Utilities, Inc,. will provide an overview of the O&R gas distribution system. The O&R service area has approximately 135,000 gas customers in New York, with 1,876 miles of gas mains. The presentation will describe the gas distribution system and O&R Capital Projects and discuss Utility Industry Challenges and Opportunities.

Michael Turanchik has 30 years of utility gas engineering and operational experience, including 6 years with Orange & Rockland Utilities and 24 years with Con Edison. His experience includes gas system planning, gas supply, gas transmission and station design, gas measurement and SCADA, and Liquefied Natural Gas Plant Operations.

The cost of the event will be $12/person for Rockland Chapter NYSSPE members, and $25/person for non-Rockland Chapter members.  All payments should be made payable to Rockland Chapter NYSSPE, and will be accepted at the door.
