PDH lecture by Andrew M. Connor, P.E., Deputy Superintendent of Highways
for Rockland County Highway Department, entitled Pavement
Preservation Program & Benefits.

Andrew Connor is the Deputy Superintendent of the Rockland County Highway Department. His presentation will address the value of a pavement preservation program as it relates to capital rebuilding program, and will demonstrate, with actual examples, how the program reduced costs to maintain roads per/square yard, while adhering to good engineering principles of design (proper cross slope, drainage, and load bearing capacity of sub-grade material. A brief question and answer period will follow at the end of the lecture.
Andy has 40+
years of experience in the public works sector working for
municipalities in Rockland County. His professional achievements
include serving as the President of the American Public Works
Association NY-Metro Chapter, being a recipient of the 2012 National
Sorensen Award (County Division) for Pavement Preservation, and being a
Federal Highway Administration Certified Roadside Safety Audit
Inspector. Andy has served in his present role for the past 18+
The cost of the event will be $12/person for Rockland
Chapter NYSSPE members, and $25/person for non-Rockland Chapter
members. All payments should be made payable to Rockland Chapter NYSSPE, and will be accepted
